Dr. Avani Uttekar is a qualified Physiotherapist who has completed her post-graduation in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool (UK). She has a specialized training in both small and large animal physiotherapy, with a keen interest in working with exotic species.
Her journey into veterinary rehabilitation was deeply personal. At the age of 12, she decided that she would dedicate her time helping animals regain their mobility, after her beloved dog suffered from a spinal cord injury and could not recover due to lack of rehabilitation facilities.
In addition to her veterinary expertise, Dr. Avani is a Certified Orthopaedic Manual Therapist and Dry Needling Therapist. She also works extensively with human neurological patients and thoughtfully integrates principles from human neuro-rehabilitation into her animal practice, enhancing functional recovery outcomes.
Dr. Avani takes special interest in orthotics and prosthetics, saddle fitting, and canine nutrition. She frequently guides pet owners and equine clients with evidence-based knowledge to optimize rehabilitation, performance, and long-term well-being.

Dr. Deepti has pursued extensive international training. In July 2016, she attended the European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS) Cardiology Course in Estoril, Portugal. She completed externships at North Carolina State University (Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Emergency & Critical Care – 2011 & 2014) and at Belle Mead Animal Hospital, New Jersey (2014).
During her time at Massey University, she worked for two years at the Small Animal Emergency Centre and completed an externship with the Anaesthesia Services at the university’s veterinary teaching hospital.
