Dr. Nishit Gokarn is the Founder and Chief Veterinary Surgeon at The Progressive Pet Clinic, a trusted veterinary hospital in Vasai-Virar committed to delivering advanced and compassionate pet care. With a lifelong passion for animals, Dr. Gokarn has been deeply involved in animal care since childhood, exploring fields such as ornamental fish breeding, herpetology, backyard poultry, and aquarium design.

He holds a Master’s degree in Veterinary Surgery from Chennai and proudly served in the Remount Veterinary Corps of the Indian Army, retiring with the rank of Majorafter a Short Service Commission. His military experience instilled a deep sense of discipline, precision, and leadership — all of which he brings to his veterinary practice.

Dr. Gokarn has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Administration, enabling him to establish The Progressive Pet Clinic as a well-organised and patient-focused vet hospital in the region. Under his leadership, the clinic has earned a reputation for high-quality veterinary surgery, trauma care, and preventive wellness services.

He is dedicated to enhancing pet health outcomes through ethical practice, continuous learning, and community education. Pet owners across Vasai-Virar and nearby areas trust Dr. Gokarn for his deep expertise and warm, hands-on approach.

Dr. Sanjana Karve is a Senior Veterinary Surgeon at The Progressive Pet Clinic, a leading vet hospital in Vasai-Virar specialising in orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery, and minimally invasive veterinary procedures. From a young age, her life revolved around dogs, sparking her unwavering commitment to animal health and surgery.

After earning her Master’s in Veterinary Surgery from Nagpur Veterinary College, Dr. Karve gained critical hands-on experience at one of Mumbai’s top veterinary hospitals, where she honed her skills in small animal surgery and emergency care.

Her clinical focus lies in veterinary orthopaedics and neurosurgery, and she is one of the few specialists in the region performing complex neurological procedures. Dr. Karve has attended advanced workshops led by globally renowned surgeons in both India and the USA, further strengthening her expertise.

She recently completed a certified hands-on course in veterinary endoscopy at Chulalongkorn University Animal Hospital (Thailand), reinforcing her commitment to modern, minimally invasive surgical techniques. At The Progressive Pet Clinic, she ensures every pet receives the most compassionate and technically sound care available.

Dr. Karve is a key reason the clinic is regarded as one of the most advanced veterinary hospitals in Vasai-Virar.

When not in the operating theatre, she enjoys boxing, fitness training, baking, and travel.
