The Progressive Pet Clinic, a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital, was started by Dr. Sanjana Karve and Dr. Nishit Gokarn to bring about quality veterinary care backed by scientific research. Our vision is to make this animal hospital a one-stop destination for in-house treatment and diagnostics for dogs and cats. The goal is to provide a holistic approach to pet care and ease the burden of pet parents running from pillar to post for proper diagnosis of their pet's condition.

Dr. Nishit Gokarn has grown up around dogs as pets all his life. As a teenager, he had a keen interest in working with animals and has taken part in many ventures including ornamental fish breeding, aquarium designing, herpetology, and backyard poultry farming, amongst a few. He has completed his Masters in Veterinary Surgery from Chennai, after which he was commissioned in the Remount Veterinary Corps of the Indian Army and retired as a Major after a Short Service Commission. Dr. Gokarn has also completed a course in Hospital Administration and is currently focused on providing outstanding care through his veterinary hospital and animal hospital in the Vasai-Virar region. Apart from work, he enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, trekking, cycling, swimming, exercising, and gardening.

Dr. Sanjana Karve has grown up with dogs rather than siblings. Her childhood vision was to become a veterinary surgeon. She graduated with a Masters in Veterinary Surgery from Nagpur Veterinary College, after which she worked at a leading veterinary hospital in Mumbai for 3 years. Dr. Karve has a keen interest in Veterinary Orthopaedics and Neurology, and she performs neurosurgeries as well. She has attended many workshops in India and the USA led by world-renowned surgeons. Recently, she attended a hands-on course on Veterinary Endoscopy at Chulalongkorn University Animal Hospital to further her expertise in minimally invasive surgeries. Dr. Karve's commitment to high standards of care ensures that her animal hospital in the Vasai-Virar region provides exceptional pet care. Apart from work, her hobbies include exercising, boxing, baking, and traveling.
